August 2026 Product Updates: Multi-Location Operations Software Improvements
Published on:
As multi-location organizations grow, operational complexity grows with them.
That's why we're continually improving Woven to help teams reduce administrative work, strengthen accountability, and create greater visibility across every location.
This month, we've introduced several enhancements focused on audit automation, communications visibility, and asset and maintenance reporting. From audits that schedule and assign themselves to account-wide engagement analytics and a daily maintenance snapshot built for leadership, these updates are designed to give operators a clearer picture of what's happening across their locations without adding to anyone's workload.
Here's a look at what's new in Woven this month:
Scheduled Location Audits
Recurring audits shouldn't require someone to recreate them every week.
Location Audits can now create and assign themselves on a schedule you set once. Choose a published template, then decide how often it should repeat, either on a calendar schedule like every Monday or the first Tuesday of the month, or on an interval like ten days after the last audit was finished. Woven creates each audit on time, assigns it to whoever currently holds the right role at each location, and applies it across all your locations or only the ones you select. Turn on an expiration date and any audit that isn't started in time is flagged automatically, giving you a trackable list of what fell through.
For operators running the same walkthrough across dozens of locations, that means one setup instead of a standing calendar reminder, and a clear record of the audits that didn't happen.
Require Photo Evidence on Location Audits
An audit is only as good as the evidence behind it.
You can now set a photo requirement on any question in a Location Audit template, with three levels to choose from: never, only when an answer flags a discrepancy, or always. The requirement works on any question type, so you can apply it wherever a picture matters most, like equipment checks or physical conditions. Enforcement happens at submission: if a required photo is missing, the audit is blocked and the specific question is flagged, so the auditor knows exactly what to fix before they can move on.
For brand standards and compliance teams, that means the documentation you need arrives with the audit instead of after a follow-up request.
Account-Wide Communications Insights
Message-by-message reporting tells you how one communication performed. It doesn't tell you whether your program is working.
A new dashboard looks across every location, position, and channel at once. You can see which locations are chronically under-engaged rather than just your account-wide average, compare management reach against frontline reach to catch messages that land with managers but never make it to the floor, and spot new locations falling behind within their first year. It also breaks down how deeply people actually read, across Not Interacted, Opened, Skimmed, and Read, and surfaces which channels and which authors are driving engagement. The dashboard opens to the last 90 days and looks back up to two years.
For operators who have wondered whether their communications are genuinely reaching the frontline, this is the first view that answers the question at the account level, then lets you drill into the specific location or message behind it.
Asset Book Value
Repair-or-replace decisions are easier when you know what the asset is actually worth today.
Qualifying assets now display a straight-line depreciated Book Value next to Purchase Price on the asset detail page, calculated fresh each time you view it rather than stored as a stale figure. Depreciation starts from the install date, or the purchase date when no install date is on file, and runs evenly across the asset's useful life. Set useful life, replacement cost, and a repair/replace threshold by category or sub-category so you're not configuring assets one at a time, with per-asset overrides available when you need an exception. When the underlying information isn't there, Woven shows N/A rather than estimating a number.
For teams managing aging equipment across locations, that means capital planning conversations start from a real figure instead of a spreadsheet someone built two years ago.
Daily Maintenance Digest
Leadership needs the maintenance picture without working through location-by-location detail to find it.
The Daily Maintenance Digest is a one-page morning snapshot delivered to your inbox as a PDF. It shows whether open maintenance work is growing or shrinking, how much opened and closed yesterday, and average time to close. It covers service-level compliance across the last 30 days along with how many open work orders are already past target today, broken out by priority. A location scorecard compares regions, districts, or markets side by side with a company-average row so groups of different sizes compare fairly, and an Attention Needed list ranks the locations that most need a look that day. The same content is available on screen in Report Center, filterable to specific locations.
For regional and executive leadership, that means the maintenance picture arrives before the first meeting of the day instead of being assembled for it.
Built for the Realities of Multi-Location Operations
Every enhancement we release is designed with one goal in mind: helping multi-location organizations operate more consistently, efficiently, and effectively.
From audit automation and evidence requirements to communications analytics and asset reporting, we're committed to building tools that help operators spend less time managing systems and more time growing their business.
As always, we appreciate the feedback from our customers that helps shape Woven's roadmap. Many of our most impactful improvements start as conversations with the operators using the platform every day.
Why These Updates Matter for Multi-Location Operations
Managing operations across multiple locations requires more than good processes. It requires systems that help teams execute consistently, communicate effectively, and reduce unnecessary administrative work.
This month's updates are designed to support those goals in several ways:
Greater Accountability Require Photo Evidence on Location Audits and audit expiration dates create verifiable documentation and a clear record of what did and didn't get completed.
Improved Operational Visibility Account-Wide Communications Insights and the Daily Maintenance Digest give leadership a view across every location rather than one message or one site at a time.
Smarter Asset Decisions Asset Book Value brings current depreciated value onto the asset record, so repair-or-replace and capital planning conversations start from real numbers.
More Efficient Workflows Scheduled Location Audits removes recurring setup work entirely, creating and assigning each audit on the schedule you define.
Together, these enhancements help multi-location organizations scale more effectively while maintaining the consistency and accountability required for long-term success.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Woven?
Woven is an operations management platform designed specifically for multi-location organizations. The platform helps operators manage communication, maintenance, audits, compliance, incidents, training, tasks, and workforce operations from a single system.
Who are these updates designed for?
These enhancements benefit organizations that manage multiple locations, including fitness brands, franchises, health and wellness businesses, commercial service providers, and other multi-unit operators looking to improve consistency and operational visibility.
How does audit scheduling assign work to the right person?
Scheduled audits are assigned by role rather than by name, so each audit goes to whoever currently holds that role at the location when the audit is created. If a location has nobody in the assigned role, that single audit is skipped and every other location still receives theirs.
How is Asset Book Value calculated?
Book Value uses straight-line depreciation, starting from the asset's purchase price and reducing evenly across its useful life in months. The clock starts on the install date, or the purchase date if no install date is on file. If purchase price, useful life, or a start date is missing, Woven displays N/A rather than estimating.
How can I learn more about these new features?
Current customers can contact their Customer Success Manager for additional guidance, join the Monthly Release Webinar for a walkthrough of each release, or attend a Live Walkthrough session for deeper training on a specific area of the platform.
